Neu von “Gos”
In den nächsten Tagen werden die Leser von SL-Fashionblogs überschwemmt werden von Bildern und Posts zu den neuen Schuhen von “Gos”.
Auf dem Schuhmarkt in SL ist das das beste, das es derzeit auf dem Markt gibt. Gospel Voom hat eine Marke gesetzt die nur schwer von anderen erreicht werden wird. Zumindest wird es sehr lange dauern.
Noch nie war es so einfach, die Schuhe an den Skin anzupassen, wie mit Gospels neuem Hud. Eine Sache von Sekunden, denn mehr als 300 Skins sind vorkonfiguriert, manuelle Anpassungen sind nach wie vor auch machbar.

Prism, Steinwerk und SL-Models
Gerade war ich auf einer Fashion-Show von Prism und Steinwerk und dabei fiel mir etwas auf.
Ich mag bekannteweise Model-Bohnenstangenfiguren nicht, nein, das ist es nicht. Bei dieser Show haben sich die Models, oder diejenige, die dafür verantwortlich war, ganz besonders viel Mühe gegeben, dass die Accessoires wie die Faust aufs Auge zum Kleid passten. Farblich perfekt abgestimmter Schmuck. Genauso die Schuhe und die Hüte.

“Erratic” ist ein Label, das mir etwa vor zwei Jahren das erste Mal aufgefallen ist. Aufgefallen durch ausgefallene, sehr gut gemachte Kleidung. Leider wird in den verschiedenen Fashionblogs nicht oft etwas von “Erratic” gezeigt. Schade. Das Label verdient viel Beachtung.

Vom 09.Juli bis 22. Juli findet in Second Life das “One Voice”- Event statt.
Bis jetzt sind über 20.000 US$ zusammengekommen!
Ziel dieses Events ist es, durch 100% der Einnahmen an den Verkäufen die Kosten – ca. 20.000 US-Dollar – eines Rechtsstreits aufzubringen, den Gala Phoenix (Curio) gegen Hush Darkrose führen will und muss. Gala kann die Kosten nicht allein aufbringen. Hintergrund: Gala entdeckte, dass Hush Skins verkauft, die den Skins, die sie verkauft, sehr ähnlich sind. Um ihr Eigentum zu schützen, informierte Gala Linden Lab und bat darum zu veranlassen, dass Hush’s Skins entfernt werden. Hush wiederum erklärte vor einem kanandischen Gericht, dass Gala die Rechte an ihrem Eigentum verletzt hätte und informierte Linden Lab darüber. When I was asked if i want to participate with one of my pictures, I felt a bit ashamed. The photo was shot three years ago and is lightyears away from being a good one. But I agreed.

Endlich …. Ich war und bin es leid, bei fast allen Bildern ständig die abstehenden Knöchel der Avatar-Füße wegzuradieren. Ich war es leid, niemals ein Foto mit ansehnlichen Füßen ohne Schuhe hinzukriegen ohne Avatarfüße, die völlig verformt aussehen wie jahrzehntelang in zu enge Schuhe gequetscht.
Nun war ich beim Orthopäden und hab mir neue an Land gezogen :)
Und was für welche … Absolut nahtlos, natürlich aussehend mit einem Hud, der einfach zu verwenden ist und der viele Einstellungsmöglichkeiten bietet. Vor allem eine perfekte Anpassung an den eigenen Skin:

A little story about me and “Enkythings”
Time for a little story.
A short story of my first weeks in SL back in 2007 :)
As many avatars in these days in 2007 I started my SL-”Life” on a camping place. A place where you can sit on a bench with up to two more avatars and earn 1 L$ for 15 minutes sitting … LOL …. I spent hours on this german camping place. If I remeber right, there where 15-20 benches – a few of them occupied by bots, but most of them by avatars. I loved it being there, meeting people, having fun, listening to the conversations about SL and learning by listening about SL and its possibilities. On this camping place I met Arton and he is now with me for nearly five years.
“Enkythings” was one of my favorite shoe stores in these days and I carried many of the while camping earned L$ to Enktan Gully’s store :)
The first present of Arton to me were “Enkythings” Talyn Heels in sangria with gold heels. I was sooo happy about this gift, I can’t tell …. sigh …. I keep them in my inventory as a very special treasure. Meanwhile “Talyn” have been overworked and are now called “Talyna”.

Zeit für eine kleine Geschüchte über mich und meine ersten Wochen in SL damals, im Jahr 2007 :)
Wie viele Avatare damals begann ich mein “SL-Leben” auf einem Campingplatz. Ein Platz mit vielen Bänken, auf denen man sitzen und pro Viertelstunde 1 L$ verdienen konnte :) Ich habe da Stunden verbracht. Wenn ich mich richtig erinnere, waren da so 15-20 Bänke auf denen bis zu drei Avatare Platz nehmen konnten. Viele waren Bots, aber die meisten waren doch Avatare. Ich liebte es, dort zu sitzen, Andere kennen zu lernen, Spaß zu haben, den Gesprächen über SL zuzuhören und etwas über SL zu lernen. Dort traf ich auch Arton und er ist nun bei mir seit fast fünf Jahren.
“Enkythings” war damals einer meiner Lieblingschuhläden und ich trug viele beim Camping verdiente L$ dort hin.
Das erste Geschenk, das ich damals von Arton bekam, waren die “Talyn”-Heels in sangria mit goldfarbenem Absatz. Ich war sooo glücklich über dieses Geschenk. Es ist ein ganz besonderer Schatz in meinem Inventar.
Zwischenzeitlich wurden die “Talyn”-Heels überarbeitet und heißen nun “Talyna”.

“My Attic”-Event
I suppose many english speaking bloggers will write about this cool event, so I’ll write in german for my german readers :)

“My Attic” – ein richtig cooles Event – hat seit heute bis Ende März geöffnet.
Es lässt sich nicht leugnen: Es wird zunehmend schwer, Kunden in die SL-Shops zu locken. Als Folge davon (natürlich auch aus anderen Gründen) schließen viele Anbieter ihre Läden. Mit gut organisierten Events, die vielleicht sogar ein bestimmtes Thema haben und bei denen sich wirklich hochklassige Labels beteiligen, gelingt das aber immer wieder viele Interessenten anzuziehen . Sasy Scarborough hat es geschafft, große Labels, die für Stil, Ideenreichtum und Geschmack stehen, für das Event “My Attic” auf ihrer Sim The Deck zu gewinnen. Unter anderen: Maitreya, Exile, EMO-tions, Adorkable Poses, W. Winx Home & Garden, DCNY und Miel – um nur einige zu nennen.
Das Thema lautet: “Summer abroad 1955-1960″.
Alle bieten dort spezielle Items für jeweils nur 95 L$ an.
Nach dem Event werden alle Artikel in den Shops zu Normalpreisen angeboten. Also nichts wie hin. Es lohnt sich wirklich.

“Shit of the grid”-Award (?)
Edit 24.02.12:
Eben hatte ich eine – bis kurz vor Schluss – sachliche Unterhaltung mit Debrah Windlow, der Creatorin der Schuhe. Debrah war der Ansicht, ich hätte die Qualität ihrer Arbeit kritisiert und sie fragte mich, wie ich das könnte, ohne die Schuhe getestet zu haben. Ich habe ihr erklärt, dass ich in meinem Artikel die Qualität nicht kritisiert habe – wie könnte ich das auch, ohne eine Demo anprobiert zu haben.Übrigens: Weder im Laden, noch in ihrem Marketplace-Angebot habe ich eine Demo-Version entdeckt.
Die Bezeichung “Shit of the grid” scheint Debrah offensichtlich verletzt zu haben. Das tut mir leid. Ich bot ihr an, das in “The ugliest thing of the grid” zu ändern. “One of the ugliest things”. Was hiermit geschehen ist.
Der Aufforderung, den Blogeintrag zu löschen, kann ich nicht nachkommen. Einen Maulkorb lass ich mir nicht verpassen.
Ich bin sicher, Debrah’s Schuhe haben und finden viele Freunde. Das ist auch gut so. Aber ein Creator muss mit Kritik leben können. Meine ist zugegebenermaßen oft hart. Hart in der Wortwahl und diese habe ich korrigiert: Kein Shit, aber hässlich.
Ich gehöre nicht zu der Blogger-Kuschelfraktion und nehme mir die Freiheit, als hässlich zu bezeichnen, was ich hässlich finde und etwas als schlecht gemacht zu bezeichnen, wenn ich etwas schlecht gemachtes sehe und getestet habe. Dabei wird es bleiben.

Gestern diskutierte ich mit einer Freundin, ob man einen Blog für die schrecklichsten SL-Items mit dem Titel “Shit of the grid” ins Leben rufen sollte und wir sprachen darüber, ob man solch einen Blog mit Pseudonym führt oder nicht.
Wir sind zu keinem abschließenden Ergebnis gekommen, aber ich hab mir überlegt, dass ich kein Problem damit habe, mit meinem Namen den Shit auch als solchen zu bezeichnen.
Was macht für mich Shit überhaupt zu Shit?
Shit ist Shit, weil
a) schlecht gemacht
b) in meinen Augen grottenhässlich
c) in meinen Augen geschmacklos

A Ghost Town
Too sad …
Today I visited a ghost town sim named “Palamos Island 1″.
A shopping sim where you can find any big fashion brand SL has. Once you could find any. Way back when.
Many shops are empty, only the name tags above the entrance where left and it looks like if they are telling of better days. Some shops still exist. Defiantly and a kind of lonely, as if they where left behind. Forgotten.

Heute besuchte ich eine Geisterstadtsim namens “Palomas Island 1″.
Eine Shopping-Sim, auf der man alle große Fashionnamen finden kann, die SL hat. Hm… Man konnte sie dort finden. Alle. Damals.
Viele Shops sind leer. Nur die Schilder über den Eingängen wurden zurückgelassen und es sieht aus, als erzählten sie von besseren Tagen. Einige Shops exisitieren noch. Trotzig und irgendwie einsam, als wären sie zurückgelassne worden. Vergessen.

Gatcha @ Rando Museum
Ich liebe Gatcha-Automaten. Vor allem die von japanischen Designern, denn sie enthalten oft wirklich hübsche Items, die man für kleines Geld ergattern kann. Im Rando Museum konnte ich mich so richtig austoben. Und zusätzlich noch ein paar tolle Preise kassieren, denn die mit einer roten Schleife ausgestatteten Gatcha-Vendoren spucken zusätzlich noch Gutscheine für besonderes Items aus. Welche das sind, seht ihr auf den Bildern darüber. Diese besonderen Items muss man im Shop des Anbieters abholen.
Es gibt zwei verschiedene Gutscheine: Einmal einen, der nur in dem Shop des Anbieters eingelöst werden kann und einen, der gegen Preise in den Shops aller Anbieter eingelöst werden kann.
