I have known Iota Ultsch for a looong time. She is one of the creators who started their business not much longer after SL started the grid. She is so talented and creative and you know what makes her and her label so sympathetic for me? She does her business quiet and … let me say: unobtrusive on a very high level. Unless someone upsets her :)
Iota Ultsch, who is a designer in Real Life as well, has told me that she is now releasing a Real Life fashion collection under her avatar’s name and that from now on we will be seeing examples of her Real Life collection which will be launched in Spring/Summer 2013. Exciting news!
In Second Life, Iota has launched her new lingerie line under her new label: IOTA ULTSCH.
Pure sexiness yet clean, minimal lines that have a fresh energy and sensuality.

Ausflug: Die Terrakottaarmee
Was bin ich froh – es gibt sie noch.
Es gibt noch die Orte in SL, die vor ein paar Jahren, als der Hype um SL noch groß war, so zahlreich waren. Orte, die mit unendlich viel Liebe und Wissen aus Spaß am Bauen ohne Suche nach Profit gestaltet wurden, die voller Faszination – ja voller Magie sind und die unbedingt besucht und bestaunt werden müssen. Einen dieser Orte will ich euch heute wieder zeigen. Stellt eure Windlightsettings auf “Blizzard”, dann habt ihr die richtige Atmosphäre für euren Besuch.

Just A Litte Accessory …
… enhances a simple outfit.
I love this in RL too. It’s a cheap way (more ore less … lol) to some kind of enlarge a closet and create many different looks. Jeans from “Decoy”, shirt from “Coco” and …
… a hip scarf: “[ JP ] dsg” Pajero.
The scarf comes in different textures – I chose the multipack.

Ein Accessoire kann ein ganz einfaches Outfit aufwerten. New Mesh Tigh Boots
New from “HOC Industries: Tigh Boots – Mesh.
The boots come in different sizes – I wear M. Included with the boots is a texture change HUD. Simply wear the HUD while wearing the boots and then click to change. If you would like to access the group exclusive textures, detatch the HUD, wear your HOC group tag and then wear the HUD again. It will detect that you are a group member and unlock the textures. You only need to do this once :-)
The price is low as everything at “HOC Industries”: Only 195 L$. They are worth much more …

Fantasy and Imagination Part I
Months and years ago it enraged me endlessly when I saw this kind of pics in S blogs. Pics as an evidence of endured extrem pain, horror and practiced excessive violence. I asked myself what’s going on in the brains of those bloggers and concluded: Nothing. Really nothing. Barely emotional sickness and deformity. No matter what text was added to those pics.
Today those pics only make me sad. Sad about what kind of people are in Second Life, what kind of people operate their avatar, what kind of people blog. And I feel pity. Not more, not less.

What does someone think and feel while putting on such a skin, creating such a look?

Vor Monaten und Jahren machten mich solche Fotos unendlich wütend. Bildbeweise von erlittenem extremem Schmerz, Horror und ertragener exzessiver Gewalt. Ich fragte mich, was in den Köpfen dieser Blogger vor sich geht und kam zu dem Schluss: Nichts. Wirklich nichts. Tiefe emotionale Mißbildungen vielleicht gerade noch. Ganz egal welcher Text zu den Bildern geschrieben wurde.
Hute machen mich diese Bilder traurig. Traurig darüber, welche Menschen sich in Second Life bewegen, welche Menschen ihren Avatar steuern, welche Menschen bloggen. Ich empfinde nur noch Mitleid. Nicht mehr, nicht weniger.
Dieses Bild fand ich vor ein paar Tagen in einem SL fashion blog.
Was denkt und empfindet jemand, wenn er solch einen Skin anzieht, wenn er solch einen Look kreiert?
