As a follow-up to Arton Rotaru’s „Mesh Expedition Station Wagon“ and as a special customer request now the „Expedition Hard Top“  is finished and has been uploaded to SL’s Marketplace.

Requires a Mesh capable Second Life Viewer.

The „Mesh Expedition Hard Top“ is the short wheelbase version of my „Mesh Expedition Station Wagon“. It is fully functional. It drives physically. No avatar attachments (besides the Speedometer HUD). It has a land impact of 45. This is the amount this model will count against your parcel prim limit.

3 (!!!) versions of the car in one package.

A Ghost Town

Too sad …

Today I visited a ghost town sim named „Palamos Island 1″.

A shopping sim where you can find any big fashion brand SL has. Once you could find any. Way back when.

Many shops are empty, only the name tags above the entrance where left and it looks like if they are telling of better days. Some shops still exist. Defiantly and a kind of lonely, as if they where left behind. Forgotten.

Too sad …

Sehr traurig.

Heute besuchte ich eine Geisterstadtsim namens „Palomas Island 1″.

Eine Shopping-Sim, auf der man alle große Fashionnamen finden kann, die SL hat. Hm… Man konnte sie dort finden. Alle. Damals.

Viele Shops sind leer. Nur die Schilder über den Eingängen wurden zurückgelassen und es sieht aus, als erzählten sie von besseren Tagen. Einige Shops exisitieren noch. Trotzig und irgendwie einsam, als wären sie zurückgelassne worden. Vergessen.

Sehr traurig.

Should I … or should I not…. I think about it for a few days now: About not reading a SL fashion blog anymore.  The number of horrible pics (in my eyes) advertising „super awesome“ avatars in „super sexy“ gear is raising and I’m asking myself „Where is so many peoples sense of beauty, chic and sexiness, where is their good taste?“ Hm… If I don’t read blogs and threads anymore I’ll miss the rare blog-pearls. Blog-pearls of nice styled, good looking  avatars showing all that what I like in a way that I like. Like Lilo Denimore’s post from today showing this dress – „Black Flame Minidress“ – from „Alexandre“. I left out the prim parts. I think they are needless.

Soll ich oder soll ich nicht… Ich denke schon ein paar Tage darüber nach: Darüber, keine SL-Fashionblogs oder SL-Fashionfeeds mehr zu lesen. Die Zahl der für mich fürchterlichen Bilder von „wahnsinnig tollen“ Avataren in „super sexy“ Klamotten“ steigt  und ich frage mich „Wo ist der Sinn für Schönhheit und Sexiness so vieler Blogger hin, wo ist ihr Geschmack geblieben?“ Hm. Wenn ich die Blogs nicht lese, verpasse ich auch die Blog-Perlen. Blog-Perlen von wirklich hübschen, schön gestalteten Avataren, die zeigen, was ich mag. So wie Lilo Denimore’s Post von heute, in dem sie dieses Kleid, das „Black Flame Minidress“ von „Alexandre vorgestellt hat. Die Prim-Parts (Ketten um den Hals, um die Taille und an den Beinen) hab ich weggelassen – ich finde sie überflüssig.

Yesterday: „Ok, Honey“, he seriously said to me …, „why don’t you wear something that matches with the new car tonight?“ …. and sent me this gorgeous top from „Gawk!“ via SL’s Marketplace.

To be honest, girls: That kind of statements not only make me grin for hours, they make me love my loved one more and more. I did what I’ve been asked for and hopped into that sexy piece of nothing, pulled some „N-Core“ heels out of the closet and was ready. No. I did’nt wore the jeans that night :) :)

The new, short version of Arton’s Mesh Station Wagon is a customer request and will be released in a few days. Let yourself be surprised: There will be two versions in one package :) Here you can see the Hard Top-Version.

….. A while later I admitted that I already have this top. Mell McMahon sent it to me a few months ago as a review copy.  Arton said: „Never mind, your look is a present to me worth every cent and more“. That left me speechless for the next minutes … Sorry, Mell :) I deleted yours and kept Arton’s.

Gestern Abend: „Ok, Honey“, sagte er bedeutungsvoll, „warum trägst Du heute Abend nicht was Passendes zum neuen Auto?“ … und schickte mir über den SL-Marketplace dieses tolle Top von „Gawk!“

Ehrlich Leute: Solche Statements machen einen nicht nur grinsen, sie sind Schuld, dass man den, den man an seiner Seite hat, noch ein Stückchen lieber hat, als am Tag zuvor. So tat ich wie vorgeschlagen, hüpfte in das sexy Nichts, zerrte ein paar „N-Core“-Heels aus dem Schrank und war fertig für den Abend. Nein, die Jeans trug ich nicht ^^

Die neue, kurze Version von Arton’s Mesh Station Wagon ist auf Vorschlag eines Kunden entstanden und wird in ein paar Tagen veröffentlicht. Lasst euch überraschen: Es wird zwei Versionen des „Kurzen“ in einem Paket geben. Hier seht ihr die Hard-Top-Version.

Übrigens: Eine Weile später gestand ich, dass ich dieses Top schon habe. Mell McMahon hat es mir vor ein paar Monaten als review copy geschickt. Arton sagte gelassen: „Macht nichts. Dein Anblick ist ein Geschenk für mich, das jeden Cent und mehr wert ist“. Verständlich, oder: Das hat mir nämlich für die nächsten Minuten die Sprache verschlagen … Sorry, Mell :) I hab Dein Exemplar gelöscht und Arton’s behalten.

A kitchen – New at „Dutchie“

Froukje Hoorenbeek made a fantastic kitchen for her lable „Dutchie“. The kitchen is a very fine piece of accurately made furniture. Form the notecard:

ANIMATIONS: The kitchen can seat 2 people and offers 24 animations. 21 of the animations can be played solo and there are 12 couple animations. Among them are working animations like doing the dishes, stirring, frying and chopping, but also relaxing animations like drinking coffee, talking, hugging and kissing.

There are no balls, just sit anywhere on the table and the menu appears. Go to the top of the menu and choose swap to change seats.

REZZING SCENES: 6 animations come with rezzer scenes. These take up 3 extra prims.

WEARABLE ITEMS: There are a 11 wearable items inside. The kitchen will offer you these when Weiterlesen →

Traditionell gibt es im Fernsehsender 3sat zum Jahreswechsel immer tolle Konzertmitschnitte.

Für eure Planung und damit ihr aufnehmen könnt, was ich mögt, hier der Programm-Fahrplan für „Pop around the Clock“ auf 3sat am 31.12.11/01.01.12.

Ohne Gewähr - Änderungen sind möglich. Sollten Änderungen eintreten und ich erfahre rechtzeitig davon, aktualisiere ich den Plan, färbe die entsprechende Zeile rot und setze den Blogeintrag an den Anfang.

Einige Vororte der Stadt, in der ich wohne, haben seit der Absenkung der Anflugrouten und der neuen Landebahn Nordwest am Flughafen Frankfurt mit einer Zunahme des Fluglärms zu kämpfen.

Ich hab Glück. Ich höre die Flugzeuge nur sehr selten und das liegt nicht an meinem Hörvermögen :)

Vor etwa vier Jahren hat Tesla Miles tolle Pumps auf den SL-Markt gebracht.

Die Schuhe zählten damals zum Besten und Teuersten, das man an Schuhen in SL bekommen konnte. Sie hielten Artons strengem Builder-Blick stand und daher war dieses Schuhpaket eins der ersten – nicht selbst gemachten – Geschenke, das ich von ihm bekam.

Ich freute mich riesig damals und ich weiß noch genau, dass ich abends ein Paar der Schuhe trug, als wir in einen Ballroom zum Tanzen gingen.

Das Tank Top (Mesh) wird in vielen Farben und in sage und schreibe fünf Größen geliefert, jeweils in einer durchsichtigen und einer undurchsichtigen Version.  Auf dem Foto trage ich die durchsichtige Version in Größe M und habe sie mit einem Bra von „Mon Tissu“ kombiniert.

Funpics – Das Interview

Nachdem ich letzte Woche wieder – wenn auch dieses Mal auf ironische, mich unterhaltende Weise – wegen der Funpics angegriffen wurde …

Nachdem mir letzte Woche wieder mal wegen der Funpics gedroht wurde (Ich hab ganz, ganz große Angst gekriegt ^^) …

Weil meine früheren Erklärungen dazu in den Kommentaren und älteren Funpicblogeinträgen verschwunden sind …

Frage: Warum machst Du die Funpics ?

Mir begegnen in Second Life Avatare, Barbie-Avatare, die nicht meinem Schönheitsideal entsprechen und deren Anblick zum Lachen bringt.

Ich begegne oft Barbie-Avataren, die ich für mißlungen, unschön, geschmacklos gestaltet halte und deren Anblick mich zum Lachen bringt.

What does a SL-Landlord need in SL’s snowy winter days? Right!

Arton Rotaru’s Snowcat.

I never drove or flew a SL-Vehicle with such smooth and exact skills as the snowcat has.

The [aR] SNOWCAT is built out of 32 prims and can carry two avatars (Driver and one passenger).
Since Second Life server version 1.40, seated avatars no longer count against the prim limit for physical objects. So the [aR] SNOWCAT will work properly even with 32 prims + seated avatars. Anyway, the [aR] SNOWCAT is designed for only two avatars. A third avatar will be ejected automatically.

The handling of the [aR] SNOWCAT is pretty easy. It has a very powerful engine and climbs up every hill even in first gear.

- Menu driven
- 7 Speeds.
- Ground and Hover mode
- Guest driver option*
- Show or hide the front blade, the rear tiller, or the winch.
- Animated tracks.
- Different cam styles.
- Switch various lights on/off.
- Built in snow emitter.
- Particle effects.
- Changeable number on the cabin.
- Adjustable driver sit position.
- Eject passenger.
- Horn sound.
- Adjustable engine sound volume.

Permissions: Copy

*As long as the owner is seated on the passenger seat and the ‘Guest Driver’ option is set to ‘YES’, anybody can drive the snowcat.

Including a [aR] Rez Zone Finder v1.0 HUD attachment. It will find any public accessible parcels that have ‘Create Objects’ and ‘Run Scripts’ allowed for all residents. It will chat a list of Slurls with the available number of prims for each parcel. The minimum number of available prims and the number of listed Slurls are customizable.
